Texas Association of Film Commissions

The Texas Association of Film Commissions, Inc. (TXAFC) fosters and promotes the state's visual media industry, in order to further industry development and economic impact for the state.

The Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program offers qualifying feature films, television programs, commercials, video games, and stand-alone post-production/finishing projects the opportunity to receive a payment of 5-15% of eligible Texas spending upon completion of a review of their Texas expenditures. Both live-action and animated projects are eligible.

FILM & TELEVISION
Qualifying projects (except reality television, contest shows, talk shows, & game shows) are eligible to receive an incentive payment of up to 15% of eligible Texas spending. Qualifying reality television and talk show projects are eligible to receive an incentive payment equal to 5% of eligible Texas spending.

COMMERCIAL
Qualifying projects are eligible to receive an incentive payment equal to 5% of eligible Texas spending.

VIDEO GAME
Qualifying projects are eligible to receive an incentive payment equal to 5% of eligible Texas spending.

POST-PRODUCTION
Qualifying stand-alone post-production / finishing projects for film, television and commercials are eligible to receive an incentive payment equal to 5% of eligible Texas spending.
